AP Music Theory
AP Music Theory is the course taught by Mr. Porter. The Honors Music Theory class is the required prerequisite to take this class. This class builds on the knowledge learned during Honors Music Theory and works faster. This class has an AP Exam during the spring of every school year. If a student does well enough on the exam, then the credits for this class can be used as college credits. Students will be working on sheet music analysis skills, sight singing, composition, and aural skills, which will all be a part of the AP Exam that takes place near the end of the year.
